Family, friends, dignitaries and community members gathered in Provo, Utah, Feb. 22, 2022, to remember Gail Halvorsen, retired U.S. Air Force colonel. He was also known as the "Berlin Candy Bomber" and "Uncle Wiggly Wings," earning his nickname by dropping candy from his plane to German children during the 1948-1949 Berlin Airlift.
