Special transport of the US Navy for the 75th anniversary of the end of the war - celebration in Hawaii

On the USS Essex, (LHD-2) which is an amphibious attack ship anchored at Naval Air Station North Island near San Diego, California, World War II warbirds are currently being loaded for the 75th anniversary celebration in Haweii on August 25 and 26. The highlight of the commemoration will be the overflight with the warbirds on September 2nd, 2020 over the USS Missouri. On this flight the armistice treaty was signed in the bay of Tokyo on September 2, 1945. The USS Essex, (LHD-2) will leave for Haweii on Monday 3 August.
