Barely any fuel left, B-24 Liberator landing Dübendorf 18th March 1944

The B-24 Liberator B-24 H-2-FO of 8th Air Force, 44th Bomb Group, 66th Squadron, Serial No. 42-7618, Marking: QK-C, Nik Name: "Hell's Kitchen" took off from Shipdham, England, with the mission to bomb Friedrichshafen. 1 Lt. George D. Telford and his crew were intercepted by Swiss fighters and escorted to Dübendorf, where they landed. The Swiss found no visible damage, but the B-24 had little fuel left on board. The aircraft was scrapped in Switzerland after the war.
