Colonel (ret.) Gail S. Halvorsen passed away at 8:35 p.m. Mountain Time USA on the evening of Feb. 16, 2022, in Provo, Utah, surrounded by his family. It happened very suddenly, in the morning he aspirated some food and fluid and then instantly developed pneumonia. He could not recover from it. Legendary Candy Bomber Pilot Uncle Wiggly Wings, pilot of the Berlin Airlift, during the Berlin Blockade (1948-1949), has now taken his final flight into eternity. R.I.P. We wish all the best and God's blessings.
