Sergeant Major Max Lagoda flew 260 front flights as a radio operator / detector / photographer / machine gunner for long-range reconnaissance aircraft, on the JU-88. He was one of four pilots for long-range reconnaissance aircraft to be awarded the Front Flight Brace in Gold. In July 2015 he participated in the B-24 commemoration in Bätterkinden (Switzerland), where he told very exciting and interesting stories about his experiences as a long-range reconnaissance aircraft pilot during WWII.
